WHAT I DO

What I handle on your behalf

From initial MTD software setup through to quarterly submissions and VAT compliance, I take care of the whole process personally.

01

MTD Software Setup and Migration

I assess your current setup and move you onto MTD-compatible software such as QuickBooks, FreeAgent, Xero or Sage. Everything is configured correctly from day one, so your records are digital and HMRC-ready. You do not need to figure out the technical side yourself.

02

Quarterly Update Submissions

MTD for Income Tax requires four quarterly updates to HMRC each year, with the first quarterly period deadline for 2026 falling on 7 May. I prepare and submit each update on your behalf, so no deadline is ever missed. You get a same-day response if anything needs your input.

All submissions handled personally
03

MTD for VAT Compliance

All VAT-registered businesses are required to be signed up for Making Tax Digital for VAT. I manage your VAT records digitally and submit returns through MTD-compatible software on your behalf. If you are not yet signed up, I handle that too.

WHY IT WORKS

Why clients come back every year

MTD compliance is ongoing, and having one person who knows your numbers makes a real difference.

One person. Every time.

I handle everything personally. There are no junior staff, no account managers, and no one who has to ask someone else before answering your question. When you ring or message, you speak to me directly. That matters when HMRC deadlines are involved.

Plain English, not compliance jargon

MTD rules can feel deliberately confusing. I explain what applies to your situation in plain terms, tell you exactly what you need to do, and handle everything that sits within my remit. You are never left guessing what the next step is.

Fixed fees, no hidden costs

You know what you pay before you sign up. There are no surprise invoices when a deadline comes around, and no extra charges for quarterly submissions or software questions. What I quote is what you pay.

GETTING STARTED

How it works

Getting MTD-compliant is a straightforward process when someone walks you through it step by step.

01

Book a free call

We spend 20 to 30 minutes on a call where I ask about your current setup, income, and what software you use. No preparation needed on your part. I just need to understand your situation.

02

I review your current position

After the call I confirm which MTD obligations apply to you, whether you are already partially compliant, and what needs to change. I send you a plain summary with a fixed-fee proposal.

03

Software setup and registration

Once you are on board, I set up or migrate your accounting software to a fully MTD-compatible platform. I handle the HMRC registration and agent authorisation so everything is linked correctly.

04

Ongoing submissions, handled personally

From that point, I prepare and submit your quarterly updates and VAT returns on your behalf. You get confirmation each time a submission goes in, and I am always available if HMRC get in touch.

COMMON QUESTIONS

Common questions

MTD for Income Tax moved into live service from 6 April 2026 and applies to sole traders and landlords with qualifying income above the relevant threshold. If you are currently filing a Self Assessment tax return, the rules likely affect you. Book a free call and I will confirm your position in plain terms.
Spreadsheets alone are not MTD-compatible for income tax purposes, though bridging software can sometimes be used for VAT. In most cases I will recommend moving to a proper cloud accounting platform such as QuickBooks or FreeAgent. I set that up for you and handle the migration.
HMRC has phased the rollout and penalties for MTD non-compliance are being introduced gradually. The important thing is to get compliant now rather than wait. If you are unsure where you stand, a short call is the quickest way to find out without any obligation.
In most cases the transition is straightforward. I assess what you currently use and identify the path of least disruption. Where possible I work with your existing software. Where a change is needed, I handle the setup and make sure your historical records come across correctly.
