WHAT I DO

What I handle on your behalf

From year-round tax planning to your annual accounts and self assessment, I manage the full picture so nothing falls through the gaps.

01

Tax Planning and Strategy

I review your income, expenses and business structure to identify where you can legally reduce your tax bill. This is not a one-off conversation at year-end. It is an ongoing process throughout the year so you are never caught off guard.

Year-round planning
02

Accounts and Tax Returns

Whether you are a sole trader or a limited company, I prepare your year-end accounts and file your Corporation Tax or Self Assessment return accurately and on time. Every figure is checked and explained to you in plain English before submission.

Self Assessment Tax Return

If you are self-employed or have income outside of PAYE, I handle your Self Assessment from start to finish. I also flag any reliefs or allowances you may have missed so your return is as accurate as it can be.

WHY IT WORKS

Why clients come back every year

Tax planning is not complicated when someone is actually explaining it to you.

One person, from start to finish

Every time you get in touch, you speak to me. There are no junior staff, no handoffs and no having to repeat yourself. I know your business because I have been looking after it personally.

Fixed fees with no surprises

You know exactly what you are paying before we start. I do not charge by the hour or add unexpected extras at year-end. That makes it easier to budget and easier to trust the relationship.

Advice you can actually act on

I explain what the tax rules mean for your specific situation, in plain English. If there is a decision you need to make before the tax year ends, I tell you clearly and in time for it to matter.

“I always dreaded the conversation about tax. Luke made it genuinely straightforward. He told me what I owed, why, and what I could do differently going forward. No jargon, no judgement.”

R.H.

★★★★★

“What I value most is knowing Luke will reply the same day. When a question comes up mid-year about a purchase or a hire, I am not waiting a week for an answer that might affect my tax position.”

GETTING STARTED

How it works

Four straightforward steps from first contact to a tax plan that actually works for your business.

01

Book a free call

We spend 20 to 30 minutes going through your current situation. No obligation, no sales pitch. I want to understand your business before suggesting anything.

02

I review your numbers

Once you come on board, I look at your accounts, income structure and existing setup. I identify where your current approach may be costing you money and where planning opportunities exist.

03

We agree a clear plan

I set out exactly what I am doing for you, at a fixed monthly fee. You know what is covered, when deadlines fall and what I need from you to keep everything on track.

04

Year-round support

Tax planning is not a one-time event. I am available throughout the year to answer questions, flag upcoming deadlines and adjust your plan if your business changes.

COMMON QUESTIONS

Common questions

Tax planning means using the reliefs and allowances HMRC has specifically put in place for businesses like yours. It is entirely legal and it is what a good accountant should be doing for every client as standard. Tax avoidance involves artificial arrangements designed to get around the spirit of the law, which is a very different thing.
The honest answer is throughout the year, not just in January. Some decisions, such as timing a purchase or restructuring how you pay yourself, only work if you act before the tax year ends on 5 April. Leaving it until after means some options are simply gone.
Sole traders have access to meaningful reliefs too, including trading allowances, capital allowances, pension contributions and business expense claims. For sole traders with growing income, we can also look at whether incorporation makes financial sense, with no pressure either way.
Making Tax Digital for Income Tax starts from 6 April 2026 for sole traders and landlords with qualifying income over 50,000 pounds. It requires digital record-keeping and quarterly updates to HMRC. Getting your bookkeeping and planning in good shape now means the transition is far less disruptive when the deadline arrives.
