Is your limited company accounting under control?

Answer five quick questions and get a clear next step based on your situation.

WHAT I DO

What I handle on your behalf

From your first year-end to ongoing compliance, I take care of the obligations every limited company director is responsible for.

01

Statutory Accounts and Corporation Tax

I prepare your annual statutory accounts and file them with Companies House before the nine-month deadline. Your Corporation Tax return (CT600) is filed with HMRC at the same time, with your liability calculated and clearly explained. Private companies get nine months from their accounting reference date to file, and I keep track of that for you so nothing gets missed.

Filed on time, every time
02

VAT Returns and Payroll

If your company is VAT registered, I manage your quarterly returns and submit them under Making Tax Digital requirements. For directors and employees, I run your payroll, handle Real Time Information submissions to HMRC, and advise on the most tax-efficient split between salary and dividends. Everything is handled in one place, by one person.

MTD compliant
03

Bookkeeping and Cloud Accounting Setup

Accurate records are the foundation of everything else. I set up and manage your cloud accounting software, whether that is QuickBooks, FreeAgent, Xero or Sage, so your figures are always current and ready for year-end. Monthly or quarterly bookkeeping keeps you in control of what your business is actually doing, not just what it did twelve months ago.

WHY IT WORKS

Why clients come back every year

It comes down to three things that most firms struggle to offer all at once.

One person handles everything

There are no handoffs at Anchor Accounts and Books. I prepare your accounts, file your tax return, run your payroll and answer your questions myself. You ring the same number and speak to the same person every time. That consistency matters when something urgent comes up and you need a straight answer fast.

Fixed fees, no surprise bills

You know what you pay before any work starts. There are no hourly rates to worry about and no invoice that appears after a phone call. Fixed fees mean you can ask questions freely without watching the clock. For directors keeping a close eye on costs, that predictability makes a real difference.

Plain English, all the time

Limited company accounting involves statutory accounts, Corporation Tax, confirmation statements and dividend decisions. I explain what each of those means in plain terms before I do anything. You understand what is being filed, when, and why. No jargon dropped without explanation, no assumption that you already know the rules.

GETTING STARTED

How it works

Getting set up is straightforward and takes less time than you think.

01

Book a free call

We have a short call so I can understand your company structure, what stage you are at, and what you need doing. No pressure, no pitch. Just a clear conversation about your situation.

02

Get a fixed-fee proposal

I send you a clear proposal covering exactly what I will handle and what it costs each month. No hourly rates, no scope creep. You decide whether it works for you.

03

I take over the compliance

Once you are on board, I set up your cloud accounting software, request any records I need, and get your filings on track. You get introduced to the deadlines that matter and what I am doing about each one.

04

Year-round support as standard

Your accounts, tax return, VAT and payroll are handled every year without you chasing me. You can message or call whenever something comes up and expect a same-day response. I am your accountant year-round, not just at year-end.

COMMON QUESTIONS

Common questions

Every limited company must file annual accounts with Companies House and a Corporation Tax return (CT600) with HMRC. Private companies have nine months from their accounting reference date to file accounts with Companies House, and twelve months from the end of their accounting period to file the CT600. A confirmation statement is also required each year, confirming that Companies House records are accurate.
Technically, directors can prepare and file their own accounts. In practice, statutory accounts must follow specific accounting standards, the CT600 involves detailed calculations, and errors can result in penalties or an incorrect tax bill. Most directors find that the time cost and risk of mistakes outweigh any saving, particularly once VAT, payroll and dividend planning are added to the picture.
I work on fixed monthly fees, so the cost is agreed upfront and covers everything we agree to handle. The exact figure depends on what your company needs, which is why I start with a free call to understand your situation before quoting. There are no hourly rates and no additional charges for questions.
Yes. From 1 April 2028, all companies will be required to file accounts via commercial software in iXBRL format. Abridged accounts for small companies will no longer be permitted, and small companies and micro-entities will need to file a profit and loss account, though they can opt out of making it public. From 1 January 2026, new UK accounting rules also affect how income from sales and leases is recognised, which can have knock-on effects on tax bills and dividend planning. I keep track of these changes on behalf of my clients.
